Stunning video game art goes on display in Miami gallery

Chances are you've heard the video games as art argument before, but if you want to go and appreciate them as art, now's your time.
In an exihibit organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum, "The Art of Video Games" is on display now at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International Museum in Miami, Fla., running until Apr. 17. The event, sponsored by gaming hardware companies Alienware and Killer Networking, highlights some of the best art and artists in video games as they've evolved over the last 40 years. Five featured games, one from each era of gaming, are included in the exhibit for visitors to play, and other interactive elements are available throughout the exhibit. 240 games were selected to be featured by the Smithsonian, narrowed down by votes from people around the world.
