Just in time for its 150th birthday, Canada once again tops the list of the most reputable countries in the world. Canada topped the list in 2015, but last year slipped to number two beneath Sweden.
Canada has taken either the number one or two spot in the ranking since 2012.
The annual list, released by the Reputation Institute, is based on a score called RepTrak. A country’s RepTrak score is based on categories such as appealing environment, advanced economy and effective government.
Each sub-category gets its own score. In cases where overall scores are equal, ranking is determined by which country came out higher in the sub-category scores.
