Can’t stand the new Instagram logo? Here’s some alternatives offered by designers

While tech companies may come to the fore based on their ability to bring change in their respective fields, it is becomingly increasingly clear that when they alter aspects of their products, it can cause many to users simply lose their minds.

The list of recent change-related meltdown includes Snapchat modifying its font on its IOS app, an array of rage-inducing alterations to Facebook’s home page, news feed and other features, Twitter’s shift from favourites to likes and Instagram’s redesign of its iconic vintage camera logo last week.

While critics quickly trashed the new logo, which ditched a cartoonish depiction of a classic Polaroid camera for an outline of a camera filled in with a colour gradient, it has inspired many graphic designers to create their own visions.

Here’s a look some of the variations of the logo that have been posted to Dribbble, an online community created for graphic designers, illustrators, icon artists and logo designers to showcase their work.
