Brittany Murphy's former L.A. mansion selling for US$18.4 million

A 9,400 square-foot, five-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion in Los Angeles that used to belong to actress Brittany Murphy and her film producer husband Simon Monjack is selling for US$18.4 million.

Murphy purchased the gated home, which overlooks the Sunset Strip, from Britney Spears in 2003.

The home underwent a renovation following Murphy and Monjack's deaths in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

The "8 Mile" actress died from pneumonia and anemia, while Monjack died of a heart attack.
