They’re asking what??: $600,000 Toronto home looks filthy and full of holes

Canadian home sales are at some of the lowest levels in the last six years, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Monday. That hasn’t stopped ever-confident sellers in Toronto from attempting to sell properties in truly bizarre condition.

Take the listing for 99 Gainsborough Rd. in the city’s Upper Beaches neighbourhood.

At just under 900 square-feet, its dwarfed by larger homes on either side. No problem. Some people like cosy spaces. Less desirable are the interior photos of fist-sized holes in the drywall, a sketchy-looking floor underneath a Shop-Vac, and heaps of random clutter.

The cleaning supplies and vacuum suggest someone is tidying the place. Why not take the listing photos afterwards?

The less said about the backyard the better. Don’t worry. The deck is totally finished, and not at all falling apart.

The asking price is $599,000.

Click through the slideshow to see more of the home and let us know in the comments below if you think the price for this house is fair.
