Artist Robert Bateman's cottage sells for $300K over asking

Nature lovers would be hard-pressed to find an artist who captures wildlife as well as Canada’s Robert Bateman. Bateman’s cottage in Ontario has most likely served as a great source of inspiration, nestled in the forests of Haliburton and surrounded by rivers, trees and local wildlife. That very cottage has sold for $800,000, after being listed initially for $520,000 in August. According to The Toronto Star, Bateman, 86, hopes to arrange visits to the cottage after it has changed hands.
