With winter closing in, it’s easy to start imaging yourself exploring an exotic land or basking in the sun on a picturesque beach plucked straight from a beer commercial.

And with plane ticket prices expected to drop, 2017 might be the opportune time to cross that dream trip off your bucket list.

According to American Express' Global Business Travel report, economy fares, those typically purchased by vacationers, are expected to drop about three per cent for short-haul and 1.5 per cent for long-haul trips in 2017.
