Argentinian soccer star Lionel Messi was sentenced to 21 months in prision for tax fraud on Wednesday, although he isn't expected to spend time in jail.

The forward for Barcelona and five-time winner of FIFA Ballon d'Or was fined nearly $3 million for using tax havens in Belize and Uruguay to conceal earnings from image rights.
