So you want to buy citizenship to a new, exotic country? Perhaps, even to the United States or Australia? Well, there’s good news for you as a many nations are allowing individuals to buy citizenship – mainly through an investment plan.

Some countries charge huge amounts of money as investment to grant citizenship, while there are others that extend this courtesy for a relative pittance.

Called the ‘Economic citizenship programs’ or ‘citizenship by investment’, these plans allow rich people from developing countries to acquire passports that facilitate international travel and which eventually helps increase the capital inflows for countries that allow such citizenship.
