Zara Is Going Eco-Friendly With This New Collection

Categories Shopping

It started with H&M’s Conscious collection, M&S’ Shwopping initiative and ASOS’s Eco-Edit. Now the socially conscious bug has bit fast-fashion giant Zara, which just debuted its first sustainable collection called Join Life. Made with environmentally friendly materials such as organic cotton, recycled wool and Tencel, the clothes were designed with Mother Nature in mind (see mineral tones and recycled polyester). But that’s not all: Zara stores will soon be equipped with boxes for shoppers to donate unwanted clothes for complimentary recycling. Even online shoppers can get into the movement, with Zara’s website consuming eighty-four percent of energy from renewable sources. Now there’s a way we can both look good and feel good.
