The 8 Best Coffee Grinders According To Reviewers With Perfectly Ground Beans
·7 min read
To grind or not to grind? That is the question...in the world of stay-at-home coffee brewing. Pre-ground coffee makes for a quick and easy morning cup, but whole bean fanatics stand by the fresh full-bodied flavor of GIY (grind it yourself) blends. If you're dipping your toes into the world of coffee grinders and want to find your perfect match — blade types, price points, sizes, etc. — then this slideshow is for you.
These bean machines can start at as low as $20 and skyrocket into the thousands for the pros. They come in two main grinding types: burr and blade. The burrs lie on the fancier side of the coffee spectrum with powerful, coffee-bean-obliterating mills that create a fine and consistent grind. Blades, while typically more affordable, use blender-like mechanics that can sometimes result in a less uniform grind.
While true coffee pros would get down to the nitty-gritty (no pun intended) over which grinders really reign supreme, we did our casual-coffee-people due diligence to curate a reliable list of seven that do more than get the job done — according to reviewers with impeccably ground coffee, of course. Get ready to rise and grind with the best grinders we've got lined up for you ahead.

A new season of “The Bachelorette” premiered on Monday. Michelle Young made an excellent Bachelorette, however suitor Ryan Fox left a few people feeling uncomfortable after Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe found his strategy notes. Fox’s notes covered subjects like how to get more screen time, past cast members who he should try to emulate, how to get the best edit, and how to make it seem like you're interested. Former cast members whose names appeared in the notes found it unsettling. Like Mike Johnson who tweeted, “I don’t know if I should feel offended because I only have one skill or is this a proud moment?” And when Young confronted Fox, his excuse also didn’t seem that genuine. “Those were not notes written by me,” Fox explained. “Those were notes written by my friend's wife who watches The Bachelor. I haven't seen the show more than two hours, to be perfectly honest. I wrote notes on the way [when] I came here just so I can get an idea.” Fox’s contradictory defense prompted Young to visit his room and read the notes for herself. She was visibly unnerved by what she read and asked Fox to exit the show. “I am not okay with starting a relationship on red flags,” Young said. “You'll need to respect that I am going to choose to listen to my red flags. And so, unfortunately, I will be walking you out.”
