A video of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is doing the rounds on social media platforms in which he's apparently making a highly insensitive comment about the people who are dying from COVID-19.
"We are making arrangements to ensure that anyone who dies from coronavirus, their families wouldn't have to buy 'kafan' (shroud). We are providing it free of cost," he is seen as saying.
The video clip is tweeted by Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra.
Recently, Soren had raised hackles when he took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the prime minister only does his 'Mann ki Baat' over a call rather than listening to others.
