Whole Foods offering one-hour grocery pickup for Amazon Prime members
Add yet another perk to your Amazon Prime membership: free one-hour grocery pickup from Whole Foods.
The tech giant announced the new option is available at all U.S. Whole Foods supermarkets for Prime members.
The free, one-hour pickup is available on orders $35 or more.
Customers will shop directly through Amazon, clicking the Whole Foods tab, selecting a pickup store, then adding items ready for pickup.
Services like curbside pickup and delivery boomed this year as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in the U.S. And Amazon, in particular, has thrived as more consumers lean on the retailing giant for at-home deliveries.
"While the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of online grocery services and prompted new customers to try services like grocery pickup, it’s clear that this offering will become a more permanent solution for many customers," said Amazon in a statement.
