This Week’s Most Popular Home Will Cost You $150,000,000

A nine-figure price tag for a home is eminently notable. There aren’t many homes lurking on the market with diamond-encrusted “For Sale” signs out front. Our last count showed six properties nationwide with nine digits affixed to the listing.

Which is to say, we’re not surprised to see a $150 million home in Los Angeles make its way to the top of the most viewed homes on realtor.com®. Boasting 30,000 square feet of living space, views of the city below, and a 5,300-square-foot master suite large enough to fit a couple of medium-size homes, the mansion will likely continue to be a mainstay on our list.

Beyond the extravagant estate, you were interested in an interesting batch of homes this week. We were introduced to an old-timey classic in a gated community in Detroit, a historic home in Ohio that made buyers salivate, and an agent who cracked the most popular homes with her very first listing.

It certainly isn’t our first time, but we never get tired at looking at the homes you find worth clicking on.

10. 25 Fox Ln, Worthington, OH

Price: $1,089,000

Why it’s here: Inventory is tight in the Columbus area, according to listing agent Marlo Capuano. So when a “really rare property” hits the market, it tends to create a buzz. Built in 1812, but fully updated with modern features, this classic home had “three offers within three days” of being listed.

9. 107 S County Road 800 E, Logansport, IN

Price: $299,000

Why it’s here: HGTV-obsessed newbie agent Kelsey Fewell followed the popularity playbook to sell this custom-built house, which happens to be her personal home. She promoted it on social media, made it move-in ready, and highlighted features (hardwood floors, high ceilings, and recessed lighting) that pique buyer interest. It’s now pending sale—a true success story for Fewell’s first listing.

8. 17731 Hamilton Rd, Detroit, MI

Price: $799,000

Why it’s here: Located in a gated community of only 30 homes on the Detroit Golf Club, this classic home built in 1923 demands attention. According to the Detroit Free Press, this is the first home in the exclusive community to come on the market in a decade.

7. 300 S Beach Rd, Jupiter Island, FL

Price: $21,900,000

Why it’s here: The ultra-exclusive home of golfer Nick Price attracted attention not only for its prodigious use of African woods, but also for the nearly 7-acre waterfront lot.

6. 28975 E River Rd, Perrysburg, OH

Price: $749,000

Why it’s here: Sail away to Lake Erie! This home on the banks of the Maumee River comes with 200 feet of waterfront and a deep-water dock. Even if you’re not a boater, you can simply watch the serene river from the comfort of your back deck.

5. 5127 Katie Valley Dr, Imperial, MO

Price: $569,000

Why it’s here: Listing agent Sue Harvey said the custom-built, four-bedroom home has attracted interest thanks to the acreage it offers (4) and how the home is laid out (open with a catwalk and a loft). She said the price is in the upper end for the area, but the home’s privacy, details, and proximity to St. Louis have made it a hot property.

4. 3653 County Road 427, Auburn, IN

Price: $404,900

Why it’s here: Located on over 7 acres, this five-bedroom home just north of Fort Wayne is our bargain pick of the week. With almost 7,000 square feet of living space, the home’s cost per square foot is only $58.

3. 11611 Laketowne View, Albertville, MN

Price: $349,900

Why it’s here: Oodles of curb appeal! The listing calls the charmer a “super cute two story,” and we’re in no position to disagree. Besides its obvious good looks, the four-bedroom home offers a wet bar in its game room. Party!

2. 6232 County Road 13, Wauseon, OH

Price: $455,000

Why it’s here: Built in 2012, this contemporary five-bedroom home comes with the accessory we’re seeing on a regular basis: a stocked pond. Are private ponds the new walk-in closet? Discuss.

1. 301 N Carolwood Dr, Los Angeles, CA

Price: $150,000,000

Why it’s here: You may recognize our most popular place. If you don’t, you should probably become familiar with California’s most expensive home. Start with the fact that the home comes with its own salon, part of which is devoted to pedicures and manicures.
