Wall Street Fundamentals Releases New In-Depth Stock Reports on ALIM, AUXL, KERX and NKTR

The Biotech Industry has continued to impress investors with gains in 2014, while the Dow Jones and S&P 500 index sit in the red. The iShares NASDAQ Biotechnology Index ETF (NASDAQ:IBB - News) and the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (NYSEARCA:XBI - News) have posted gains of 12.68 percent and 20.12 percent, respectively, this year. The industry’s skyrocketing success in recent years has some comparing it to the tech bubble seen in 2000. “You have fundamental news that’s really quite good. Back then (in 2000 for tech) you had a lot of hope, [biotech] has a lot of good fundamental news.” said Mark Lehmann of JMP Securities. Lehmann has also pointed out the consolidation in the market place. “You’re seeing the Pfizer’s (PFE) and Merck’s (MRK) making acquisitions (in biotech) here because they see opportunity, and they don’t see it in their pipeline.”

Alimera Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:ALIM - News) shares traded in the range of $6.53 to $6.89 Wednesday before settling to close at $6.57, a decrease of 3.81 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $8.05and $8.95 levels with some support at $6.47 and $5.81. Shares of Alimera Sciences have gained approximately 40.0 percent year-to-date.

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:AUXL - News) shares traded in the range of $24.66 to $25.26 Wednesday before settling to close at $25.15, an increase of 1.04 percent.
