Investing.com - Walgreens Boots (NASDAQ:WBA) reported on Thursday second quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Walgreens Boots announced earnings per share of $1.52 on revenue of $35.82B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.46 on revenue of $35.27B. That with comparison to EPS of $1.64 on revenue of $34.53B in the same period a year before. Walgreens Boots had reported EPS of $1.37 on revenue of $34.34B in the previous quarter. Walgreens Boots shares are down 27.02% from the beginning of the year , still down 33.29% from its 52 week high of $64.50 set on November 5, 2019. They are under-performing the Nasdaq which is down 18.57% year to date.
