Value of Canada building permits down 5.9% in November

OTTAWA, Jan 10 (Reuters) - The value of Canadian building permits fell by 5.9% in November from October, Statistics Canada said on Friday.

The residential sector saw lower intentions for both the single-family and multi-family components, while the commercial and institutional components were up in the non-residential sector. The value of building permits were down in five provinces, with the largest decrease recorded in Ontario.
