UnitedHealth's Unit to Hire 120 Customer Service Workers

UnitedHealth Group Inc.’s UNH pharmacy care services business, OptumRx, recently announced that it would be recruiting 120 workers for its customer service jobs in Costa Mesa, CA. These new customer service providers will be entrusted with the duty to improve the health care experience for the company’s customers by catering to the varied needs of patients.

OptumRx specializes in the delivery, clinical management and affordability of prescription medications and consumer health products. Its high quality, integrated services successfully deliver optimal member outcomes. The company also facilitates its clients in saving more through its superior customer service. Hence the bilingual (Spanish and English) assistance from the customer service desk will help OptumRx’s clients and more than 64 million members achieve better treatment at substantially low costs through the company’s innovative prescription drug benefits management services.

OptumRx and UnitedHealth Group have a long history of recruiting workers from Costa Mesa to expand their customer service team in the region. Mark Knutson, the senior vice president of Customer Service at OptumRx, said, “Costa Mesa is a place where we have recruited talented, committed people focused on working with our members to navigate very important and personal pharmacy care services needs.” The latest initiative will ensure better and more customer-centric services going forward.

UnitedHealth Group is a Minnesota-based health and well-being company with robust Medicaid and Medicare businesses. Continued growth at OptumRx is also boosting the company’s revenues. Effective capital management is another major positive for the insurer. The company presently carries Zacks Rank #2(Buy).
