If you were wondering, should you win the lottery, or several lotteries, what the most expensive property you could purchase in London would be, look no further.
It is worth keeping in mind that these are the properties that state the price outright. There may be more expensive properties but their price is only available on application.
The priciest property for sale in London at the moment, according to data compiled from Savills (SVS.L), Zoopla and Rightmove (RMV.L), is an eight-bed terraced house in Belgrave Square, Belgravia that is listed for £77.5m ($103.7m) on Zoopla.
Images and details of this property are sparse. Aileen Prendergast, Zoopla’s spokesperson, explained that this is likely “down to privacy and the fact that many ultra-high net worth individuals don't want a digital footprint online for their property.”
But we do know it features a private garden, roof terrace and central heating, and sprawls across 16,400 square feet.
Next up on the list is a nine-bed end terrace house up for £65m, also listed on Zoopla. It has six bathrooms, three reception rooms and a lift, and is located in Grosvenor Square, in the heart of Mayfair. It spans 12,150 square feet.
For £54.5m, you could own a townhouse in Mayfair with 12 bedrooms.
As we work down the list, the descriptions get more detailed, as do the photographs.
This property “spans over 14,500 square feet, with grand proportions throughout including an 'L-shaped' drawing room on the first floor leading to a large terrace and a dining room on the ground floor with seating for twenty guests,” the listing on Rightmove states.
On top of that, the main house has a spa “with one of Mayfair's largest private swimming pools,” plus a fitness studio, separate spa pool, sauna, a private screening room and four guest bedroom suites.
Next up, for £40m, also on Rightmove, is a house in Merton Lane in Highgate, which comes with 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and five reception rooms.
“The luxurious entrance hall of this stunning home has a glass lift to each floor,” the listing states.
On the first floor is the master suite with a bathroom and four further suites each with en suite bathrooms, whilst the top floor has a home office with views over the gardens and Hampstead Heath.
The home comes with a swimming pool, which opens on to the garden, and full spa facilities behind. There is also a home gymnasium and a billiards room.
The gardens span more than two acres and include a tennis court.
If you want to pay the same price of £40m but prefer to live in Mayfair and don’t mind a few less bedrooms, there is also this six-bedroom, six-bathroom on Zoopla, with three reception rooms.
The listing states the property is “considered to be the archetypal London mansion” and has an “Edwardian facade.” It has three reception rooms and a swimming pool.

“The mansion’s already striking grandeur is further amplified by its highly distinct, French-inspired railing as well as two large, extremely prominent chimneys, which are visible from the street and for centuries have been a symbol of status and wealth in Britain,” according to Zoopla.
This next property is listed for £39.8m on Savills and is situated at No.1 Grosvenor Square.
It boasts “five star 24-hour concierge and embassy-level security throughout,” the listing states.
Residents will have access to a gym, private training studio, a 25 metre swimming pool, a spa and a members club with a cinema and a business suite.
£35m can get you an eight-bed, eight-bath property in Chester Square, in London's Belgravia district.
Among its many features is three reception rooms, a 10m swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, treatment room and a private garage for “two very large cars.”
There is also a five person passenger lift serving six principal floors, air conditioning, state-of-the-art security and staff accommodation within the double mews house at the rear.
For £32m, located in St John’s Wood, is a double fronted eight-bed detached house, listed on Zoopla.
“The property provides extensive family accommodation benefiting from exceptional entertaining areas, an indulgent principal bedroom suite, a private passenger lift and a very large south-west facing garden,” the listing states.
£30m could also get you a three-bed flat in Knightsbridge.
Among the many highlights of this property is a spacious reception room, a fully-fitted and integrated state-of-the-art kitchen, a dining room, three en-suite bathrooms, a guest cloakroom, a wine cellar and a balcony overlooking Hyde Park.
The cheapest property on this list, for £28.5m, is an eight-bed detached house near Primrose Hill.
The property comes with a wine cellar, a landscaped rear garden with access to communal gardens, plus parking for five cars, air conditioning, underfloor heating and two storerooms.
