The company also posted revenue of $199 million, down from $211 million in the same period a year earlier but up from $197 million in the third quarter Analaysts were looking for fourth-quarter revenue of $195.59 million.

Glu Mobile, Inc. (NASDAQ:GLUU - News) shares closed up 27.65 percent on about 28 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers in the NASDAQ market. Shares hit a new 52-week high of $4.98 during intra-day trading. The company reported a better-than-expected fourth-quarter results and forward guidance. Quarterly adjusted revenue rose 62% year over year to $42.8 million, which translated to adjusted net income of $0.07 per share, compared to a $0.05 per-share loss in the same year-ago period. Analysts were only looking for a breakeven quarter on sales of $32.2 million.

Federal National Mortgage Association (OTCBB:FNMA - News) shares closed down a modest 1.64 percent on about 12.8 million shares traded. Freddie Mac sold $1 billion of securities in the government-controlled mortgage-finance company’s largest offering of bonds whose buyers share in its risks from homeowner defaults.
