Coming to Canada for the holidays might offer travelers good odds at having a White Christmas, but it doesn’t appear to offer the best bang for your buck, according to data from Kiwi.com.

The online travel agency found that while cities such as Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City may be closer to Santa Claus headquarters in the North Pole, they aren’t getting any discounts in terms of cost for Christmas.

The website has put together a Christmas Price Index, which ranks the expected expenditures of a festive day and shopping in 90 cities around the world.

All three of the Canadian destinations on the list finished in the bottom half in terms of affordability, with Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto coming in at 46, 47 and 61 respectively.

Kiwi.com calculated the total cost of a festive day in Toronto as US$797.37, while it estimated expenses would be slightly lower in Quebec City at $741.75 and $742.92 in Ottawa.

While these prices could put a chill on some travelers holiday plans, they pale in comparison to the top three most expensive destinations: New York, Reykjavik and Copenhagen, which were pegged at $1131.08, $1014.81 and $999.87 respectively.

Meanwhile, the top three most affordable cities were Bratislava ($521.04), Kyiv ($548.02) and Seville ($552.06).

The Christmas Price Index includes two categories of expenses.

The first is the cost of a Christmassy day, which takes into account accommodation with breakfast, a traditional lunch, a two-course Christmas dinner, a holiday drink and a ticket to “The Nutcracker.”

The second is the Santa’s Price Index, which includes common shopping items such as cologne, perfume, a princess Barbie and a Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon.
