Traders prep their portfolios ahead of first presidential debate

The " Fast Money " traders reexamined their portfolios ahead of the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton .

Trader David Seaburg said if the S&P 500 (INDEX: .SPX) nears the 2,100 level, he might look at the biotechnology (NASDAQ: IBB) and technology (NYSE Arca: XLK) sectors.

Trader Tim Seymour said volatility (INDEX: .VIX) is an obvious trade as the presidential race will only get closer as we near election day. He also said that if Trump takes the lead after the debate, the Mexican peso (Exchange: MXN=) will weaken against the dollar on Tuesday, which would be a buying opportunity.

Trader Dan Nathan said that if the New York businessman is the clear winner, markets will go lower and be more volatile.
