The Top 10 Companies for Working Moms

Being a mom while holding down a job can be challenging, but 10 companies are especially good at helping women “flourish at home and at work,” according to Working Mother magazine’s just-released annual list of the Working Mother 100 Best Companies.

All companies included on the list offer fully paid maternity leave, and nearly all offer paid adoption leave and paid paternity leave. Many of the companies also allow their workers to use flextime, telecommute or implement a compressed work schedule.

Jennifer Owens, editorial director of Working Mother Media, says in a press release that it’s a smart business move for companies to offer family focused benefits:

“Now more than ever, with changing family dynamics, parental benefits are a key weapon in the war for talent. These companies aim to create the culture that attracts the best talent.”

According to Working Mother, the 100 best companies included on its list employ 2 million people across 16 industries. Nearly half (46 percent) of the workers at these companies are women.
