Missing Texas 3-year-old, mother found in Oklahoma after Amber Alert, police say

After an Amber Alert, a 3-year-old Texas girl was found Thursday night in Oklahoma with her mother, who was accused of kidnapping her, police said.

Law enforcement found the mother and child, and medical staff were evaluating the girl, the College Station Police Department said on Twitter. Further details weren’t immediately available.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a statewide Amber Alert for the College Station girl and said her last known possible location was in the Dallas-Fort Worth area early Thursday morning. She was believed to have been taken by her mother, who does not have full custody, police said.

Adeline was abducted by her mother, 30-year-old Maranda Nicole Nichols, from Treehouse Trail in College Station, police said. Because of medical conditions, Adeline was considered to be in immediate danger of death or serious bodily injury when the Amber Alert was issued, police said.
