This Tetris Bookshelf Is A Next-Level IKEA Hack

From ELLE DECOR

It's normal to have a boyfriend who likes video games.

It's normal to have a boyfriend who likes books.

But a boyfriend who likes video games so much, he programs them into his bookshelf? That's something else.

According to his fiancée, Nadia Tokerud, Øyvind Berntsen used his computer, LED lights, a raspberry pi++, plus "a whole bunch of wiring" to display Tetris onto his IKEA bookshelves. Well, this is what we call a next-level IKEA hack, folks.

Berntsen's program isn't perfect – you can't see your score – but who cares when you're playing Tetris on a bookshelf?

It's worth noting that Berntsen also went viral earlier this month for programming his marriage proposal to Tokerud on a bookshelf. Tokerud uploaded the Tetris video to YouTube just a few days after the proposal, and now it's going viral as well.

What's next, Berntsen? Pac-Man? Kingdom Hearts?

Tokerud writes in the comments section of the video that an instructional video about how to make your own video game bookshelf could be coming soon. Imagine the possibilities!
