Telsa model S has a hidden James Bond Easter egg

Want to drive James Bond's sleek, amphibious car from "The Spy Who Loved Me"? Tesla's Model S will give you that chance. Well, sort of.

Want to drive James Bond's sleek, amphibious car from "The Spy Who Loved Me"? Tesla (TSLA)'s Model S will give you that chance. Well, sort of.

An Easter egg was discovered in the Model S, as part of Tesla's 2014 software update, that indicates drivers can choose to operate their vehicle in "submarine" mode, according to a report in TheVerge.com.

All you have to do is press the Tesla logo on the car's touch-screen monitor, enter "007" into the pop-up login and select the suspension tab for 20,000 leagues under the sea, according to The Verge.

While the car will not actually be submersible, the nod to the great British spy follows Tesla CEO Elon Musk's purchase of the movie's prop car for $866,000 at an auction in London.
