Taylor Swift beats One Direction in this year's concert scene

Here are the top ten selling artists this fall, according to secondary market ticket giant StubHub which is owned by eBay (EBAY). The firm tallied the total sales from Labor Day through Thanksgiving.

1. Taylor Swift

After reigning supreme as the top selling summer artist on StubHub in terms of sales volume, Taylor does it again. The artist has the highest selling ticket on StubHub at $13,520 for her concert at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on October 17. On average, Swift’s tickets go for $141 on the site.

2. AC/DC

Rock veterans AC/DC are still filling up stadiums at number two. Their “Rock or Bust World Tour” is winding down in North America. The band commands an average of $158 per ticket on StubHub.

3. Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters made a big jump in just one season. The band rounded out at the bottom five in top selling summer artists per show on the secondary market.

4. Ed Sheeran

The price to see Ed Sheeran this fall averages $87 on StubHub.

5. Madonna

The legacy diva’s “Rebel Heart” tour tickets average $169. Madonna is scheduled to run through March 2016.

6. Luke Bryan

2014’s second hottest tour is now the best deal this year. His average concert ticket price is $68 with the low at $13.64 and the high at $3,225.

7. Garth Brooks

It’s been a big year for the country superstar with his “Comeback” tour after announcing his return to music nearly a year ago. Brooks’ wife Trisha Yearwood joins him on stage as his special guest. Tickets are set at $74.98 but go for an average of $140 on the secondary market.

8. One Direction

After being the top selling 2014 fall artist, One Direction now ranks eighth. The recent announcement of a post-tour ‘break’ may have contributed to the drop. But the boy band still commands the highest price per ticket of the season at $15,084.

9. Billy Joel

Piano man Billy Joel's concerts are the ninth most sought after tickets this season. The average price on StubHub is $131 with the high at $5,437 and low at $19.80.

10. Janet Jackson

Pop icon Janet Jackson rounds out the top ten for this fall’s hottest concerts. This will be her first tour in four years and tickets for her “Unbreakable” tour averages $136 on StubHub, with the high at $3,593 and the low at just $9.27.
