Stocks in play: Vegano Foods

Announced it has acquired all of the outstanding shares of SMPL Oats. Vegano issued 0.89 of one common share to the former shareholders of SMPL for each common share of SMPL. The corporation resulting from the amalgamation, named “SMPL Oats Ltd.”, is a subsidiary of Vegano Foods and will carry on the business of SMPL. This acquisition will allow Vegano to operate in the global plant-based beverage market, which is expected to grow to US$22.78 billion by 2027. Vegano Foods shares C.VAGN are trading unchanged at $0.08.
