Stocks end the week higher but Tesla dips on recall

U.S. stocks ended the week on a high note, with all major indices trading higher Friday. Here are some of the biggest winners and losers from today's session:

Gap (GPS), Nike (NKE) and Allergan (AGN) all aided the broader market in its march higher today. The big pharma name in particular popped after reports that a potential deal with Pfizer (PFE) would list Allergan as the buyer in order to skirt a crackdown on inversion deals.

Tesla may not be the biggest loser of the day, but the company did announce the recall of its entire fleet of S-Class sedans after reports of faulty seat belts. For any traditional automaker a recall of 90,000 units wouldn't even be a blip on the radar, but with just one model sold for the past several years, this is an enormous chunk of their business. The stock slid on the news before working back towards flat.

Other names that didn't fare so well today include Southwestern Energy (SWN), Chipotle (CMG) and Lionsgate (LGF) are all lower. The fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain tanked after more reports of E. coli at their locations surfaced in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report. Lionsgate, meanwhile, is down more than 2 percent today, despite the fact that they have a BIG movie hitting theaters today—the final installment of the Hunger Games - Mockingjay–Part 2. The first three films have brought in $2.2 billion at the box office.
