Stocks bleed into the close, Tesla fails to impress Wall Street

Winners and losers

Stocks in the red include Glencore, as the mining and commodities giant’s shares dive after a subpoena from the Justice Department regarding compliance with money laundering laws; Interpublic Group, as the advertising company will acquire Acxiom’s Marketing Solutions business in a cash transaction for $2.3 billion; and Delta Airlines, as Deutsche Bank downgraded the airliner to Hold from Buy, pointing to the current trade tensions.

Stocks in the green include Campbell Soup Company as the NY Post reports that hedge fund Third Point is pushing the food company to explore a possible sale; Roku, as Oppenheimer upgrades the stock; and Herman Miller, as the office furniture maker’s revenue came in above forecasts, and it also reported adjusted quarterly profit of 66 cents per share, 8 cents a share above estimates.
