MARKHAM, ON--(Marketwired - May 31, 2016) - Celebrating their one-year anniversary with a "Spring Fling" for current, new and prospective clients and community partners, two Toronto East hotels hosted festivities honoring the arrival of spring and the celebration of new beginnings on May 12. Welcoming their guests with four food stations, drinks and an elaborate array of desserts, the Courtyard and TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast/Markham opened doors to the Don Valley Room from 4:30 to 7 p.m. for the anniversary event.

"This time last year, formal celebrations took place for the official opening of the Courtyard and TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast Markham, following a soft opening in the beginning of the year," said Alex Gomez, the hotel's Director of Sales and Marketing, as he welcomed the guests. "We are thrilled to have you all here today to celebrate the one year anniversary of our hotel opening. Thank you for joining us!"

Also present were representatives of the Marriott National Sales Office and other Marriott Hotels owned and operated by Eastons Hotel Group, owner of the Courtyard and TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast Markam, the Residence Inn Toronto Downtown and SpringHill Suites Vaughan.

"It's been a wonderful year developing new friendships and relationships as we position ourselves as your neighborhood hotel and the newest hotel in all of the Markham community," Gomez continued. "We just really wanted an opportunity to get together, share some drinks and good food, to not only celebrate our one year anniversary, but to also celebrate spring and wish everyone a fun summer ahead. Also, to just have some fun and express our thanks and our full commitment to you and your business, as well as welcome new clients and friends to our Marriott family."

Throughout the evening, the 100 attendees were treated to drinks, including the hotel bartender's "Anniversary Spring Cosmopolitan", while enjoying Chef Shashi Singh and his culinary team's live food stations featuring tacos, soups, pastas and mashed potato samplings. A unique anniversary cake was also served and lively entertainment was provided by a pianist and flutist.

Guests were in awe of the transformation of the meetings and events room. Low lighting was featured throughout accented with upward lighting of whites, pinks and purple - spring colors that created a calm and refreshing mood. The event was an ideal opportunity to showcase flexibility of the hotels function rooms for Toronto East social events, not just business meetings.

Prize drawings included weekend stays and spa treatments at the hotel's Caesar Spa.
