Spotify 2020 Wrapped: How to find what music, podcasts and playlists you listened to this year
Much as we would like it to be, 2020 is not an official wrap yet. But Spotify has already put a bow on the year with its 2020 Wrapped lists of the most streamed artists, songs and other content on the subscription service.
The most streamed artist of 2020 by Spotify's more than 320 million listeners worldwide was Bad Bunny, who had 8.3 billion streams and the most streamed album, “YHLQMDLG," which collected more than 3.3 billion streams. The Latin music superstar recently skipped the American Music Awards after testing positive for COVID-19.
After Bad Bunny, the most streamed artists were Drake, J Balvin, the late rapper Juice WRLD, and The Weeknd, who had the most played song with about 1.6 billion streams, "Blinding Lights."

For the second year in a row, Billie Eilish was the most-streamed female artist, followed by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Halsey.
As more people stayed at home during the coronavirus pandemic, listeners streamed more songs on work-from-home-themed playlists and more listeners streamed on video game consoles, Spotify says.
More than 65,000 playlists entitled "BLM" or "Black Lives Matter," were created and there were 64 million streams of Spotify's own "Black Lives Matter" playlist. Top songs streamed about the movement: "This is America" by Childish Gambino, "I Need You To (Breonna Taylor)" by Tobe Nwigwe, "Black Parade" by Beyonce, "Alright" by Kendrick Lamar and "The Bigger Picture" by Lil Baby.
As listeners began getting their Wrapped roundups, they shared them online via Twitter and searched on Google to find out more. To see your Wrapped 2020 list, go to Spotify.com.

Spotify broke down the 2020 Wrapped process in a podcast. "People are excited for it," said Spotify vice president and global executive creative director Alex Bodman. "... It will be a mirror to their year."
And, of course, the results reflect 2020's challenges. "The intent of this year's experience is to show people that despite everything collectively and individually we have gone thorough, art, creation, listening, all of that has been a bright spot, a comfort, an inspiration, a call to action," Bodman said.
Other top rankings from the year on Spotify:
The top podcasts: The Joe Rogan Experience, TED Talks Daily, The New York Times' The Daily, The Michelle Obama Podcast, and Call Her Daddy.
Top playlists for self-care: Confidence Boost, Your Favorite Coffeehouse, Songs to Sing in the Shower, Just Smile.
The most listened to throwback decade: The 1980s.
