Sony Debuts PlayStation Games On Smartphones

The company has revealed 4 games that have been recreated for smartphones.

Sony announced in March, the establishment of its ForwardWorks studio to build a smartphone gaming audience for its PlayStation ecosystem and create “Fully Fledged” games for smartphones. The company has finally unveiled 4 PlayStation games that have been recreated for smartphones. The games are currently available only in Japan.

Sony is expected to come out with more games based on PlayStation franchises during the course of the next year. The currently offered games include:

“Everyone’s Golf”: The game will debut as “Mingol” for smartphones. It is expected to release during spring 2017 for iOS and Android.

“Dash! Action Puzzle”: The game, which is based on a popular TV series “Yu Namama” and has a presence on PlayStation and PlayStation Portable, is expected to release in summer 2017 for iOS and Android.

“Ark The Rad”: The expected release time and supported operating systems for the role-playing game are yet to be determined by Sony.

“Wild Arms”: The expected release time and supported operating systems for the fantasy game are yet to be determined by Sony.

Apart from these games, PlayStation franchise-based games such as "Parappa the Rapper," "Doko Demo Issho" and "Boku no Natsuyasumi" will be included in the next round of releases, ForwardWorks confirmed to Phonearena.
