Small Business Saturday falls on Nov. 27 this year and there are countless locally owned stores in metro Phoenix to shop from online and in person.

American Express, the financial services company best known for its credit cards, created Small Business Saturday in 2010 amid the recession to bring more revenue to small businesses during the holiday shopping season.

Here is a selection of 26 local businesses you can shop from on and after Small Business Saturday; many have the option to buy online.
