Yahoo Finance Yup, Chrishell Stause Is Happily Married Again
Fans of Netflix’s Selling Sunset were in total shock this month when news broke that reality star Chrishell Stause and her Australian musician partner G Flip had gotten married. The two have only been together for a year, but in that time, they've made a lot of cute memories together. Of course, this isn't Chrishell's first rodeo.
ICYMI, Chrishell was previously married to actor Justin Hartley before getting a divorce, and even dated her boss, Jason Oppenheim, in 2021. (Anyone watching the show knew that the two got along well, but no one expected the pair would get that close.)
Despite all the excitement around her "work" relationship, it didn't last long. Following her breakup with Jason, Chrishell made it clear that the amicable split was really caused by one big question neither could compromise on. More on that in a sec.
A lot has happened since then, including a wonderful new spouse for Chrishell. So here’s what’s going on in her love life right now, and Chrishell's full dating history since Selling Sunset season 1.
Who is Chrishell dating now?
Chrishell took some time off from dating after breaking up with Jason Oppenheim, she told Women’s Health in February of 2022. Obviously, when she did decide to dive in, it was for keeps.
Her love affair with boss Jason Oppenheim taught her to ditch her Cinderella fantasies and embrace relationships for what they are meant to be. “My last relationship was such a beautiful relationship in every sense, except for the fact that we just want different things. There is still a lot of love there,” Chrishell said in her interview with WH.
“I had an old school way of thinking that if you didn’t ride off into the sunset, the relationship was a failure,” she said. “And the relationship with Jason changed my thinking.”
During the season 5 reunion episode, which aired on May 6, Chrishell officially confirmed that she was dating a 27-year-old Australian singer named G Flip. "I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that's very important to me. Their name is G Flip. They're nonbinary, so they go by they/them," she said, per People. "And they are an extremely talented musician."
Apparently, the two met while filming a music video: "It started because I was just going to be in their video. And it's about this chaotic love story. I come from soaps, I love acting. And with the job that we have, I don't always get to do it. At first of course I was like yes, let's do that," Chrishell added.
In an Instagram post, G Flip showed some BTS of Chrishell giving them a new thigh tattoo in honor of their music video for "Get Me Outta Here", which dropped a year ago.
"Found my new calling. Might open up a new shop🤣💀😎😜," Chrishell commented.
And things moved fast. They moved in to Chrishell's home together, started going on baecations, and even visited G Flip's native Australia. Then, on May 10, 2023, Chrishell posted a reel that showed some BTS from their relationship, including what appeared to be a wedding photo. Her co-stars obviously flipped out in the comments.
What happened with G Flip?
Georgia Flipo, a.k.a. G Flip, was spotted at an L.A. concert with Chrishell in March of 2022. And they also have been leaving each other some prettttty flirty comments on IG.
Chrishell commented on one post: “How do you make us emotional and horny at the same time?? Your power 🤯😉👏❤️.” These emojis tell a *story,* do they not? The singer was also featured in a little photo dump from the realtor’s IG. "❤️🔥," G Flip commented on the pic.
Why did Jason and Chrishell split?
Chrishell told People that she and Jason parted ways because they weren’t on the same page about starting a family. (Chrishell wants kids; Jason doesn’t.)
"I know Jason is so proud of me and we love each other so much," she said in the interview. “You can't talk out this problem. It's just something that, it is what it is.” Still, Chrishell said she’s “extremely proud of” their relationship, adding, “I think that we entered and left it with so much respect and love for each other."
Chrishell also said she plans to become a mom whether she finds the right person or not. "I would love for [finding a partner] to happen, but if it doesn't, I feel like I can do it on my own," she said.
What did Jason and Chrishell say about their breakup?
The two took to Instagram to share their thoughts with everyone.
"Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward," Chrishell wrote in an IG caption. "And thank you Jason for the most incredible relationship and for consistently being honest with me even when it hurts," she finished.
Jason's own post read: "While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another. She was the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life."
"While we have different wants regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another," he continued. "Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me."
Then, during the Selling Sunset reunion, the pair got even more candid about why things ended. "This is not the time of my life where I want to have a family," Jason explained. He also said Chrishell is "the love of my life" and that he thinks he might always regret breaking up with her (gasp!).
Was their relationship featured on Selling Sunset Season 5?
The duo’s romance plays out on Season 5, and they really are so cute together. Chrishell and Jason were initially adamant about keeping their relationship under wraps. “I think when [a relationship is] public, it puts a lot of just added pressures and publicity and opinion,” Jason told Us Weekly. “I think it’s nice to kind of start a relationship in the way that normal relationships kind of grow and progress. And that’s just between two people.”
Then, Chrishell decided to take matters into her own hands. “It felt like we were about to be outed by paparazzi photos,” she told Cosmopolitan UK. “But I didn’t want people to think it was a mistake or they’d ‘caught us’ doing something; I wanted to be able to hold my boyfriend’s hand at dinner.”
Chrishell went through a divorce on the show.
The Selling Sunset star went through a public and unexpected divorce with her then-husband, actor Justin Hartley, in 2019 during filming for season 3.
Chrishell did throw some shade on Jason via Instagram a few days after announcing their split. “Well these eggs aren’t going to fertilize themselves 🤣🤣,” she captioned a post of herself in a leopard print bikini standing under an outdoor shower. “Or maybe they will … who knows. Until then, 2022 bring it on 😜😜.”
Chrishell later dated DWTS pro Keo Motsepe for three months.
Dancing With the Stars pro Keo caught Chrishell’s attention in 2020. They started sharing cuddly photos together in Dec. 2020 and went public with their relationship soon after. Chrishell called their romance the "coolest thing," per People. "I knew from my dance work I wasn't going to win a Mirrorball from the beginning. To have this come from it, I'm just very smitten," she said.
They vacationed as a couple in December and celebrated their first Valentine's Day less than a month before the breakup.
Neither Chrishell nor Keo have spoken publicly about the breakup. "He's had a tough time with his mom's passing, but he really wanted to make his relationship with Chrishell last," the source close to Keo told People.
Chrishell is preparing to start a family—eventually.
For now, she's freezing her eggs and keeping motherhood in mind for the future.
"I have taken the steps to freeze my eggs," Chrishell told People in Sept. 2020. "I’m going to do everything I can to take that power in the situation, and hopefully, that will empower me going forward in the dating world, so there’s not so much pressure."
