Yahoo Finance 'Selling Sunset' Star Chrishell Stause Hit the PCAs Red Carpet With a New Hair Color
Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause just underwent a major hair transformation.
The reality star revealed dark brown hair at the People's Choice Awards.
In an Instagram caption, Stause explained that she "needed a change."
Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause had a major surprise in store for viewers when she appeared at the People's Choice Awards this week. The reality star debuted a new, brunette hair color on the red carpet on Tuesday night, ditching the blond hair that's become her signature on the popular Netflix series.
Stause teased the big change during a series of videos she shared to her Instagram Story on Dec. 7.
"I'm going to the People's Choice Awards, so that'll be fun," she said in one video, giving fans a subtle hint at what was to come by touching her hair. "But I'm also doing something a little different, so I can't wait to show you the look." Later on, Stause shared a few short clips of her hairstylist Bradley Leake mixing up and applying her new color alongside the caption, "Let the fun begin."
She later took to the grid to share a photo of the stunning finished product, her chocolate brown locks, which she paired with a bright red Genny gown with a thigh-high leg slit and cutouts along her rib cage and strappy red heels.
"Needed a change," she captioned it.
In an interview with People, Leake revealed that they "based the hair color change around Chrishell's sleek red dress."
"We decided to change it up and go for something a little sultry [or] sexy and darker but still soft," he said. "We always base the glam around the outfit for the night and unanimously agreed going darker without being harsh."
We'll just have to wait and see if the brown hair makes to the next season of Selling Sunset.
