Salesforce makes major acquisition, Canada Goose wants in-house production, Tesla votes on CEO pay

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you.

Salesforce (CRM) tops our list. The cloud computing giant is buying software company Mulesoft for $6.5B. Salesforce will pay around $45 a share. That’s a 36% premium to Mulesoft’s closing price.

Canada Goose (GOOS) is staying warm this year. The luxury coat maker wants to boost profits by bringing more manufacturing in-house. Canada Goose plans to produce at least half its outerwear by itself in a few years. Currently, it makes about a third.

Tesla (TSLA) is deciding on CEO Elon Musk’s paycheck today. Shareholders will vote on a $2.6B compensation package. The deal would tie his compensation to Tesla’s performance targets and ensure that he stays with the company for 10 years.

Nordstrom (JWN) will not be selling the company back to the founding family. After months of discussions, a Nordstrom committee says it ultimately couldn’t come to an agreement on price. Currently, six Nordstrom family members own a third of the department store.
