RideApart is Hiring: News Writer

RideApart is Hiring: News Writer

Are you looking to join the world of moto-journalism? RideApart is searching for someone who can tackle the energetic pace of working for one of the world’s best online motorcycle publications, serving as the site’s primary news writer.

Working closely with the managing editor and director of RideApart, you will be responsible for writing and publishing several news items a day. Some items will be assigned to you, but you will be encouraged to seek out and identify stories that you feel fit the RideApart spirit.

There will also be an opportunity for you to write feature articles.

The position is open to applicants anywhere in the world (as long as you’re happy to be paid in good ol’ American dinero), but you must have an excellent command of English. Basic photo editing skills (e.g., ability to crop and resize an image) are also a must. The role will be best suited to candidates who have experience writing and/or converting media releases.

You will be working to strict deadlines. A relevant degree in journalism or English is a bonus, but a proven ability to write is what really matters. And, of course, it’s expected that you’ll be crazy about motorcycles.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, please send an email to info@rideapart.com containing the following:
1) A quick note explaining why you’re the ideal candidate.
2) Links to five stories that you have written (links do not have to be motorcycle-related).
3) PDF or Word version of your resume.
