Updated testing results

OTTAWA, ON, Aug. 21, 2023 /CNW/ - On 30 August 2023, Claigan Environmental Inc. (www.claigan.com) will be presenting an updated webinar on where PFAS is found in products.  The findings will be based on testing data and will explain where and why PFAS, including the PFOA family, is being found in products.

With PFAS coming under scrutiny for restrictions, its uses are very important to know.  With the average electronic product having more than a dozen PFAS occurrence in it, manufacturers are far more impacted than previously believed.  Up until modern testing in products, regulators have relied on opinions and previous publications.  With the advent of WD-XRF testing for fluorine, much more is now known.  In particular, the currently regulated PFOA family is far more prevalent in products than originally believed, with thousands of products anticipated to be non-compliant by 2025.
