Quebecor, Shaw at 52-Week Highs on Deal with Rogers

Quebecor Inc. Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (T.QBR.B) hit a new 52-week high of $33.26 Friday. Rogers Communications Inc., Shaw Communications Inc., and Quebecor Inc. announced today that they plan to close the pro-competitive transactions expeditiously. The three companies, along with the Shaw Family Living Trust, have agreed to extend the outside date of the acquisition of Freedom Mobile by Videotron Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quebecor and the closing of the merger of Rogers and Shaw to April 7, and expect the transactions to close by that date.

Shaw Communications Inc. Class B Non-voting Shares (T.SJR.B) hit a new 52-week high of $40.44 Friday. Rogers Communications Inc., Shaw Communications Inc., and Quebecor Inc. announced today that they plan to close the pro-competitive transactions expeditiously.
