Lionel Messi has been passed fit for tonight’s huge Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

Messi has missed PSG’s past two games but the 34-year-old has overcome a knee injury and starts at the Parc des Princes.

Two of the favourites for this season’s Champions League meet in this crucial Group A clash.

PSG cannot afford to let more points in the competition slip after a surprise opening draw to Club Brugge.

City started their European campaign with an entertaining 6-3 win over RB Leipzig and travel to Paris with their confidence boosted after a superb, controlled win over Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The pair last met at the semi-final stage of last year’s competition, with Manchester City victorious in both legs on their way to a 4-1 aggregate triumph.
