DUBLIN (AP) _ Prothena Corp. (PRTA) on Tuesday reported a loss of $36.7 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Dublin-based company said it had a loss of 91 cents.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 80 cents per share.
The drug developer posted revenue of $160,000 in the period.
Prothena shares have risen 91% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $22.97, a climb of 90% in the last 12 months.
