Yahoo Finance Priyanka Chopra-Jonas Shares Throwback Photo Of Her And Nick To Announce Exciting Career News
Priyanka Chopra-Jonas has announced that she is opening an Indian restaurant, and we can't wait to pay it a visit when travel is permitted to the US.
The model, former Miss World and haircare entrepreneur is adding culinary exploration to her growing list of successful ventures in 2020, weeks after the release of her memoir Unfinished.
The former ELLE UK cover-star took to Instagram over the weekend to announce the exciting restaurant opening by posting a trio of images to her account.
Chopra-Jonas captioned the carousel post with a passionate message about her newest business venture, which is set to be based at 36 East 20th Street in New York City's Flatiron district. The actor explained that the project is something she 'poured my love for Indian food into'.
The 39-year-old continued, writing: 'SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavours I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef @harinayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country.
'SONA is opening later this month, and I can’t wait to see you there! This endeavour would not have been possible without the leadership of my friends Maneesh Goyal and David Rabin. Thank you to our designer Melissa Bowers and the rest of the team for realising this vision so clearly. [sic]'
The photos also included one of her and her husband Nick Jonas performing a Hindu worship ritual in the restaurant's space in 2019. The actor noted in the caption: 'The second and third photos were taken in September 2019 when we performed a small intimate Puja (prayer ceremony) to bless the space that would soon become @sonanewyork Godspeed! [sic]'
In addition to dipping her toe in the culinary, beauty and literary world of late, Chopra-Jonas has been working on various film projects in recent months, including an upcoming romantic drama movie Text for You, which will see her acting alongside singer Celine Dion).
The actor has also reportedly (via Variety) joined the cast of the forthcoming Matrix film but her role has not been specified as of yet.
