- British businesses are "at risk" because the government has failed to set out a coherent blueprint for a microchip supply industry, according to a critical report from the influential cross-party business select committee of MPs.

The Guardian

- Britons have cut their gas and electricity use by more than 10% since October in the first evidence of the impact of the energy crisis on household habits, according to two of Britain's biggest suppliers.
