Prabhas’ new supercar costs more than a house in Banjara Hills

The Telugu superstar bought this new beast just earlier this year.

Prabhas may have been a well-known superstar in the Telugu film industry and in South India, but it’s safe to say that he shot to national (and some may argue even international) fame following the release of 'Baahubali' and its sequel.

To be sure, the Telugu superstar had always been something of a legend south of the Vindhyas and was making enough to splurge on a Rs 60-crore farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad. However following 'Baahubali’s' global success, Prabhas was able to command a much higher fee, higher than some of the top Bollywood stars.

Earlier this year, Prabhas added a spanking new car to his already impressive collection: the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster. The new Lambo costs a cool Rs 6 crore, which easily makes it among the most expensive, off-the-counter cars available in India. The price tag also makes it more expensive than a house in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills neighbourhood.

Bright orange and featuring butterfly wing doors, Prabhas’ Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is a sleek but powerful beast. It is Lamborghini’s flagship convertible so it obviously features top-of-the line specs.

Powered by a formidable 6.5-litre V12 engine, the car puts out a stupendous 730 bhp at 8,400 rpm and 630 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster goes from zero to 100 kph in just three seconds. And it can go from zero to 200 kph in nine. The car tops out at 350 kph and the exact name of Prabhas’ model is Arancio Argos.

Prabhas bought the car on his father’s birthday and immediately took it for a spin

The Telugu superstar has a lot of other supercars in his garage and the new Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster isn’t even the most expensive one of the lot. Which is saying something, don’t you agree?

But it’s likely loose change for the superstar whose 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' became the first Hindi film to gross Rs 750 crore worldwide when it released. Prabhas has since done other films too. Like 'Saho' that grossed a massive Rs 236 crore, a significant amount if you aren’t foolhardy to compare it to the stupendous success of 'Baahubali'.

Prabhas already has three other films lined up: 'Radhe Shyam', 'Adipurush', and 'Salaar'. He’s also signed up for a role in a movie starring Amitabh Bachchan.
