Portugal 2-4 Germany LIVE! Jota, Gosens, Havertz, Ronaldo goals; Euros match stream, result, highlights and reaction
Group F - aka the âGroup of Deathâ - at Euro 2020 has been blown wide open after a day of exhilarating drama.
Franceâs shock draw with Hungary in Budapest earlier on Saturday was followed by an epic heavyweight tussle between Portugal and Germany in Munich that set a new standard as the best game of the tournament so far.
The defending champions took an early lead completely against the run of play at the Allianz Arena, with all-time European Championship top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo finishing off a brilliant counter-attack to move within just two goals of Ali Daeiâs international record.
However, two quick-fire own goals from Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro then turned the contest on its head, with Kai Havertz and man of the match Robin Gosens inflicting more damage for resurgent Germany after the interval.
Diogo Jota reduced the deficit to keep things interesting before Renato Sanches cannoned a remarkable effort against the post, but Germany held on to get their Euros campaign up and running and move second in a fascinating Group F.
