YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: After they first and optimistically gave it the ol’ college try with an in hindsight sanguine asking price of $13.995 million, three-time Grammy winning pop-rocker Pink — née Alecia Beth Moore — and former freestyle motocross racer turned off-road truck racer Carey Hart have re-listed their gated estate in Malibu, CA, with a new and notably lower asking price of $12.995 million. The couple, married since 2006, purchased the tropically landscaped 1.2-acre spread in the celeb-saturated Point Dume area in October 2010 for $11.85 million and online marketing materials show the liberally Zened-out residence — listing photographs show scads of Buddha statues scattered throughout the house and property — measures in at 7,450-square feet with six bedrooms, six full and two half bathrooms, and at least five fireplaces divided between the meandering, multi-level main house and attached guesthouse/staff apartment that includes a full kitchen.

It’s half of a dozen steps down from the stone-floored foyer to the wood-floored and loft-like open-concept living/dining/entertainment space that features a vaulted and beamed ceiling, generous banks of folding glass doors that open to a stone terrace with through-the-trees ocean view, and a TV-surmounted raised hearth stone fireplace. The expensively outfitted double island kitchen sits between the “formal” dining area and a cozily compact lounge/breakfast area with a second TV-surmounted stone fireplace. The adjoining service areas incorporate a sizable home office with built-in desk space for two or more, a spacious laundry room, and garaging for five cars while a den/library located just off the living room and also accessible from the foyer features a third stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves, and glass doors to a terrace that overlooks the driveway and motor court. Our research indicates that right about the same time the extensively-tatted pair purchased their now unwanted Malibu estate in 2010 they also made an under-the-radar $4 million purchase of the undeveloped 1.22-acre parcel next door that does not appear to be for sale, at least not on the open market. The couple once bunked in a Spanish style estate in Sherman Oaks, CA, that was sold in 2014 for $3.218 million and they continue to own a 215-plus-acre multi-residence compound in rural Santa Ynez, CA, that was picked up in two separate transactions — the first in October 2013 and the latter in January of 2014 — for a total outlay of $12,095,000.
