How to Pick a Great Business Credit Card

A business credit card isn't just for CEOs and road warriors. In fact, you may even want to consider one for your side hustle.

A business credit card is a card designed for business needs with tools in place to help small business owners track expenses and rewards. Additionally, business cards are exempt from some of the provisions of the CARD Act of 2009 (though many card issuers voluntarily comply with the same regulations applied to personal cards).

Like consumer credit cards, business cards can offer similar cash-back rewards and benefits tailored towards specific cardholder needs. A business rewards credit card offers bonuses for common business purchases rather than at supermarkets or drug stores. In addition, business credit cards often come with powerful tools to track receipts and run expense reports, making it much easier to file your taxes.

Finally, a business credit card is more likely to feature notifications and limitations on authorized cardholders, so that you can control cards issued to employees.
