3 in 4 visitors see Singapore as a "repeat destination".

Over the past years, Singapore has been investing in attracting tourists and visitors by promoting a number of attractions. A study by Brandscapes Worldwide revealed that Singapore is a leading tourist destination in Asia, ahead of Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, and Bangkok.

The study surveyed around 600 respondents from across the globe and found out that six of the top 11 tourist attractions in Asia are from Singapore. These attractions include Merlion, Sentosa, Changi, Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios and Garden by the Bay.

It revealed that three out of four visitors to Singapore want to come back to the country in the future. The study also found out that Singapore's luxury related dimensions is higher than those of competing tourism markets in Asia.

"Thus Singapore has an advantage over other markets for attracting high net worth, high spending tourists," it said.

However, it noted that the city-state trails behind other competing destinations in the area of fun & recreation. It lags behind the five other cities in terms of beaches, adventure sports, massage & spa, and animal interactions like zoo and safari.
