The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Ero Copper

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Lead Director John Wright for CA$82k worth of shares, at about CA$13.70 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (CA$20.90), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Does Ero Copper Boast High Insider Ownership?

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Ero Copper insiders own 15% of the company, currently worth about CA$276m based on the recent share price. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
